If you ask all of those questions of Rick at Littleshavers, you will get the straight story and some good tools ! (Rick-in-Seattle)

The Flexcut detailer was my favorite knife, but it now isn't touched very much. I've made a few of my own from a broken bucksaw blade that I use most of the time.

For micro gouges, I have a set of Ramelson's, but I would not recommend them! I've broken both the 1mm gouge and 1mm V tool while honing themon a Flexcut slipstrop! No pressure, just lightly working the edge. If you happen to find some good micro tools, let me know, I sure could use a new V tool!

Rick is my hero.

I needed help getting the appropriate tools to begin some carving, and he let me straight to the right stuff.

I ordered my tools Tuesday evening, and on Thursday (two days later) I had my tools! Thanks Rick!!!
