Hi, I want to ask if someone can give me some advices or tips about carving wooden pendants and necklaces like these here.I tried searching on google and youtube for videos or tutorials, but nothing.If you can tell me how, what tools, good wood for that job.I hope you can help me. |

Your best bet would be to talk to Keoma..... she does wearable woodcarving art and is quite good at it. For extremely tiny details like you find on jewelry, either a fine knife blade or small bits in a dremel would do it for you. Keoma is a big fan of dremel. Good luck with your projects. |

There was also an excellent article in WCI (not sure which issue) in the last year or so about Geoff King ( Hand carved wooden brooches - contemporary designs, animal designs, Celtic knotwork, Charles Rennie Mackintosh jewellery ). ChuckT

hi smo, welcome to wci :-) ,,actually, you can carve jewelery with same set of tools as everything else, just chisels, and if you wish mallet too, here is examples i carved as weekendfun... pendants - for the brave woman of course, questions welcome

I did acouple of things for my wife, a pair of turned "pots" for earrings out of olivewood from the Garden of Gethsemane, also a very small pair of crosses from the same wood...thats it.....well, made a ring out of purpleheart..that was a waste of time lol
