This is not really related to this thread but what someone said about blowing chips away reminded me of one of my experiences. When I started carving with the camera and watching the monitor one of the first things that I remember is that I would be carving away and I would naturally blow the chips away like any normal person UNTIL! I relized they would not move because I was blowing at the monitor and boy did I feel stupid. I still catch myself blowing on the monitor and I get a chuckle out of it everytime. I thought I would give everyone a laugh at my expense. Ron

Ron, Not laughing at you but laughing with you. I have had the same experience but with a mask on. Yep, I felt stupid and EVEN looked around to make sure the little bride wasn't watching.

Thank pal, I Enjoyed the post.

Best to you.
Stay warm! Coldest it has been here for a few years.

blowing dust with the mask on I thought was my own stupid trick. I still do that once in awhile. After a couple tries to remove the dust, it suddenly comes to me that I have a mask on. Try putting on two pairs of glasses sometime. Couldn't believe that I did it, but out of habit I picked up my glasses, and put them on, and suddenly my vision got blurry. This old age thing isn't what its cracked up to be. glad to hear I'm not alone. Dave should jump in here, he always has a good answer for this sort of thing. Cheers

That is a good hint, Dave. I knew you had it in ya. Well its a snowy night in Breadalbane, the Christmas lights are on, there is a warmth coming from the stove that warms your bones, and the wife and I are going to enjoy a lazy evening, and I don't think she wants to talk carving. Cheers.

Over the last several years, in our group of ten carvers, we've had four dentists. There is a connection.

Dave, all of the surgery in our carving classes is purely unintentional. Mike
