Coniscliffe Carving Club, and as the lonely American member, am waiting for the plane fare to enable me to take in each monthly meeting...Actually, don't tell them you know me,,, that way, maybe they will let you join ,,,cordially NAD...Since the English like titles, you may call me Nad, the Elder,,,,,because I am not getting any younger,,have a good day, and the Coniscliffe Carving Club is the best in the BWA..

Glyn.....not sure about Durham, but I see classes advertized in the British magazine "Wood Carving". I'll take a look through the issues that I have and if I see one for Durham I'll pass it on. Bob

i live in birmingham u.k and our local college has carving courses so you could check out local education colleges in co durham to see if they do anything there too.Good luck coz once you get into carving it will bring plenty of pleasure,alas in England woodcarving doesnt seem to be as popular as in the states ect.I have been carving for nearly 30 years and was lucky to have a great teacher in my moms uncle,he was taught by his father too so it goes way back in my family.
