| | Re: Whittlin Jack UC423 Joe, I don't what you want to spend but I just got an ore carving jack for my birthday it has two blades roughing and detail and you could shave with it. It was 65.00 plus 5.00 for sharpening. Feb |

| | Re: Whittlin Jack UC423 Here's an on line source.....if this is a photo of the actual knife, it is one of the original wood handle ones. for $5.75 you can't go too far wrong. I had 2 of these, loaned one out, now only have one. Stanley took over these and they now have a nice rubber handle, but I still like the wood handle better.
These are stainless steel blades and are so-so sharp when you get them so will take a bit of work to get razor sharp, but when you do, they sing through the wood and hold an edge like kryptonite! http://www.exoticswords.com/Default.ASP?C=34&P=688

| | Re: Whittlin Jack UC423 Hey Guys,
Thx for the Replies!!! And the websites! United Cutlery went out of business. They were bought by someone else but it doesn't seem like they have it together yet! I found a few web sites like that exotica, but when you go to order their site is down and it says not accepting any orders at this time. I will continue looking and checking back. If anyone finds one in there travels buy it and let me know. I will gladly pay for it and shipping and handling. I just figured one of these companies like Smoky mtn knife works would have some in their old stock, but I tried contacting them to no avail.
Thx All, SmokinJoe |

| | Re: Whittlin Jack UC423 Thx Guys,
The Whittlin Jack was made by United Cutlery. They went out of business and where then bought by someone else. They don't seem to have it together yet as I tried contacting them and they seemed pretty lame. I tried ordering from exotica but when you go to order it says not accepting orders at this time. If anyone comes across one of these at a show or yard sale pick it up and I will glady buy it and pay for your troubles and S&H. Thx SmokinJoe |

| | Re: Whittlin Jack UC423 I have a set(8) of Whittlin Jack knives which I don't really need. I don't know what they are worth. These are stainless steel with wooden handles. These are numbered UC 778,783,781,901,903,904. The other two are not nearby but I can get the numbers if you want. If you are interested send me a PM.
