Default whats ok an whats not ?

hi all have done a caring of a fireman, an a fire hydrant now the q is do I have ta carve the hose out of wood or can I use a pc of elc, wire with black coating on it . what is acceptable in the carvin world

My personal opinion is carve it. I am not much in to mix media art that is called Wood carving.

However, There are some really great carvers who uses other things beside wood in their carvings and their carvings are fantastic.

If you are going to enter it in a competition, do whatever the particular shows rules allow.

If your not going to enter it, anything you want to do is just fine. There is no right or wrong.

What scale is the carving ? I can see how soaking some wicker or rattan might be useful right about now ! Jester Then again if they're larger scale you'd be somewhat challenged by the diameter, and limited to pressurized anhydrous injection to make a noodle out of it.
