Default What's "image type(6)?"

I have not posted new pictures for some time because when I upload jpg images from My Pictures I get the message, " Sorry, this image type(6) is not supported yet." What does this mean and what do I need to do differently?

The Woodcarving Illustrated web site does support JPG format for photo uploading with no problems. I'm not sure what you're talking about when you say "My Pictures", as I haven't seen that on the Woodcarving Illustrated web site yet. Perhaps if you elaborate with more details about what your are trying to do, and how you are trying to do it...

I am trying to upload some pictures to my Gallery. I'm getting them from a folder called "My Pictures". I don't think I am doing anything differently from when I uploaded the pictures that are in my gallery now, but recently I have gotten the message,"Sorry, this image type(6) is not supported yet."
Here are the steps I am going through: I click on Carving Galleries. I click on
Upload Photos, then browse. I choose a file called "My Pictures", from there I select the photo, in this case it was "bottle stopper(right).jpg". I click "open" and it appears in the space for "select the photos you wish to upload from your computer". Then when I click on upload/submit, I get the Wood Carving Illustraded Photo Gallery Message," Sorry, this image type(6) is not supported yet."
That's about all I can tell you.

I never have had a problem uploading pictures from my "My Pictures) file on my pc. However, if the size isn't correct or within the specs, they won't upload. Cottonwood I do as you posted. Size it to 380 X 520 pix and see if it uploads. May try deleting the cookies and log back in.

Millard,

without getting into a big long drawn out discussion of the inner workings of how windows works, send me the picture in my email, thomp51la@gmail.com and let me see what the problem is directly if you can,

I'm thinking instead of the proper .jpg extension the file has .6 I've dealt with lots of weird problems here like this one.
