The mystic carving club is 80 miles from Worcester MA by way of 395 S. I live in Ct and I have to travel 72 mi one way to the club. There are several carving clubs within 30 mi of my home, however I found that the experience available at Mystic is well worth with the extra travel. There are other members who have longer commutes.

You should also check out the New England wood carvers in Lexington MA

I live within 30 minutes of Worcester, in Marlborough MA. I'm not a club or an expert, but I'd be happy to help you learn the basics. Send me a private message or email through the forum if you'd like to get together.
