I have been playing with the owl too, had to add a bunch of cuts as usual lol....but is a neat little carving...Al have you done this with your scouts?

Not YET! I've got a Woodcarving Merit Badge class scheduled for the next three Monday meetings, though, and this showed up just in the nick (or is that knick) of time. I'll use it, and a couple other simple patterns. Might even have them do this on the end of a walking stick. Lots of nice fresh aspen sticks around, now.
