Default visiting Duck N.C.

Well, we have returned to Duck N.C. for spring break.

Two years ago we came here for Clayton's "Make-A-Wish" trip and enjoyed the trip so much we had to return.
I just wanted to say "Hello" to everyone and to say that I hope everyone had a happy Easter.

Beebee;
Where is Duck NC? I've never heard of it. Also, who is Clayton? I hope you had a nice time while here.

William, to hear that you are returning to North Carolina - if only for a short visit. Hope that all is going well with Clayton and the rest of the family.

Sue, Duck is just north of Kitty Hawk on the coast.

Clayton is the board's adoptive son (so to speak) and is recovering a battle with cancer.

I had no clue where Duck was but thank you for letting me know. I thought either the mountains or the outer banks.

That's so sad about Clayton and the cancer. Bless him and his family.

Thanks, Mitchell

We have had a wonderful time here in the Outer Banks (Duck) this week. And for the first time, Clayton and his brother Erick have learned to play at the beach. Neither one of the boys have shown a interest in playing in the sand until this week, now we can't get them off of the beach. They have been digging holes and making sand fort's. This is the first time in a long time that Clayton has acted like a 9 year old, it warms his mother's and mine's heart.
But back to realility in the next couple of weeks (May 9th). Time for "Scans" too see if his cancer has returned. Clayton will arrive at the hospital at 8 am sharp and we will not leave until 2-3 pm. It will be a long day and a couple of long days following the "Scans" to await the results. I will try and keep everyone informed as time approaches and we find out what is going on.

again, for the compassion that this entire group has shown Clayton. It makes our life a little brighter.

It's wonderful the kids had such a great time and no doubt they've made memories they will be talking about for a while to come. Best of luck and well wishes for the upcoming test. God bless.
