Default Urgent HELP needed

hey everyone, I have a question but first I want to say wow, I just looked through the galleries and i can't believe all the neat things you can make by carving wood, you make it look easy, anyway ,I have a wood modelling sort of assignment and I was just wondering if anyone had any ideas for make like little protruding cylindrical bumps about a quarter of inch in diameter in the wood without carving all around each one.If that won't work do you have any suggestions for something that I could stick on the wood that would have the same effect,Thanks in advance.

Just use wooden dowel. Drill the hole, insert the dowel then carve it the way you want.

Another thing that works and is used by fish carvers alot for (lateral lines) is to actually make a dent in the wood the size you need your bump. Then, take and sand down the project until it is level with the dent you made. When done, just take and wet the project with water and the dents will pop right up where you need them. Give it a test run and you will see how wonderful it works.
