hey everyone good news i managed to find a local carving club here . so we will see what happens. thanks everyone for all your help.

Tim,
I'm glad you found a carving club. They will be good encouragement and source of help--as well as be able to help you find supplies.

Don't be afraid to ask for help or the opinion of the various carvers. We have a rule in our club that no one offers unsolicited advice, but if they are asked, they will tell you and even show you everything they know to help you. I'm sure you'll enjoy fellowship with people who share your hobby. Let us know how good it is.
