I just picked up a Frost mora knife with a 2" blade. It came nice and sharp and seems to work well for roughig out carvings.

Like many of you, I have several, the ones that I use are A Wells, an Allen Goodman, and A Drake detail knife. All of these are very flexible, and that is what I prefer.

Good start Ohiomike.

It was one of my first knives. Now I find the one I have is a bit thick but it always cut well and has a good feeling.

I am waiting to see the modified Mora knife in Harley Refsal DVD to order one if it looks like my type of blade, I don't like flexible blades, but I like when they are thin enough to get easily through wood.

My two cents worth, Dave Lyons brand. I have used his knives for years and they are the best for me, the only ones I don't chip or break and they hold a sharp edge perfectly with just stropping, never, ever have to stone them.....and I'm very, very abusive!! Deborah
