Default Re: Stropping question

Thanks for the instruction,

im not new to making chips fly, just re-introduced... after some years..
but real new at paying attention on how its suppose to be done..

I use to sharpen till it felt sharp then honed with cerimac, round stick..which is terrible on the point of any knife after much work..or misuse..,

but like i mentioned, i recently seen my first burr / wire edge. and finely i understood what the heck everybody had been talking about,, wire edge after sharpening on stones,,,

guess i wasent paying close of attention, although, i was noticing some stroppings / sharpenings seam to last longer than others. on the same wood... usualy cypress knees, ot tuper gumm.
maybe i wasent removing the wire edege... quite well enough....

thanks again...
