Default Source of Wood

I was wondering if anyone could recommend a source to purchase basswood for carving. I have bought some wood from Woodcraft here in KC and have been told by other carvers that they are pricey and the wood is not the best quality.

Bart beat me.
I was just going to tell you to call Dale Heinecke in Wisconsin.
It's the BEST place to get basswood. He ships it anywhere and for shipping you pay only the exact amount UPS charges.
