Default Should I try to become a carver?

I have recently gained access to a great deal of trees that need to be cut down and fallen trees. Some have the most unusual bark such as the Prickly Ash and diamond Willow. I have watched a youtube video on how to use the Merlin tool to carve a bowl. I am not sure at my age I can pick up such an artistic new skill. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Any age can start and any age can succeed. If you can hold a knife then you can become a carver, simple as that.

Give it a shoot, no harm in trying.

I suppose the Merlin tool is this one

You have to be more careful.

Begin with simple things, then get fancier. But go slow...

You're never too old to start new things. Go for it.
