By the way I love Georgia too Its a beautiful State been there a couple of times staying with friends in Douglasvile. Hope to get back again sometime soon.

Bill, you might if you haven't already look into Lora Irish books both landscape and animal relief carving (Fox Chapel books). Also there should still be some WIP's and Step by Step instruction on this site.
Hang out in the Relief & Chip Carving Forum you'll learn a lot...ask questions...get help...show off your latest relief carving.

Thank you for the suggestions. The old Barn is one of hers I did some altering of her drawing after an oooops. I have been doing relief for 2 months not steady just once awhile I will probably post my next carving Relief & Chip Carving Forum again thanks and have a great day Bill

It is recognizable, but I think it needs more depth and/or separation between the elements (tree vs barn). If the wood is thick enough you could lower the background further. A little color would help too, if you don't object to using paint or stain.

Re-reading what I wrote above, it seems more negative then I intended. It's clear you've worked hard on this carving. I think you're off to a good start. With a little more work, the final result will be a great addition to your home.
