Default Practice make...

I'm trying to learn how to carve eyes and faces. Found the tutorial on Donald K. Mertz website (WoodBeeCarver). This is my third attempt using his method on a one inch practice stick. Not there yet but making progress. Thanks for sharing Don.

Next? Millard Harrell tutorial!

Having fun!
Doug

I'd say that you're gettin' darn close. You'll be knocking out them walking sticks and and canes sooner than you think!

Hi Doug,

That's a very nice carving and especially of the eyes. Looks like you've done your homework.

Ah yes... my weak spot! Thanks for introducing me to the Woodbeecarver site. I've got some practice sticks already made and have to get to this. Your looking good! Great stuff, and very inspirational.
