Default powercraft burr source

I recently got a great deal on a Powercrafter, but looking for a good, cheap source of burr's, it uses a 1/16 friction fit burr, only source I have found was Treelline, and they are not cheap, any help is apprecaited...Dennis

Hide and Beak supply in Minnesota is offering Stones, don't know if that equates to burrs or not. Very good price on a package 100 stones various profiles for $25.00 I think. I just ordered the package thought it was to good to pass on when I can use them from time to time. Might not be what you are looking for however. No affiliation just a satisfied customer.

I will add just one thing!
Some of these good deals on cheap burrs, is not really a good deal, the bits may not be true, and the grit will not be even on the bits.
My feeling is you are better off buying a couple of good bits, and have something that works rather than a whole box full of bits that are out of round etc, I have a few of them.

You may be right Bill, however, several fishcarvers have picked up these 100 kit packages and they are saying they are wonderful stones and are doing a great job for them. I have not gotten mine yet so I can not qualify them myself. Can only repeat what is being said about them. Give Larry a call at Hideand Beak and he can give you lots of good info. At .25 I don't think you can go wrong.

Gene
I really don't know about the stones, I was refering to some of the cheap diamonds.
I got a set of them once and the shafts weren't true, etc. So that has been my experience with some of the cheaper sets of burrs.
I now buy the ones that need one at a time.
