I have some products that come in a kit to keep saws etc clean..called "Top Saver", in the kit is also a pitch remover that works great on my bandsaw, the top saver keeps the tabletop clean and slick and no rust, there is a bottle for keeping the blades clean and one for router bits....all for I think it was 19.95...company is called Empire Manufacturing ..I think you can find them on a google search.....I know its more than you asked, but most of us also have the other tools.....

Roger, You probably know this already but wear a respirator when using the rotary tool or have a air filter or like I do both. I use to wear just a mask like you get at Wal-Marts or Dollar type Stores but still wasn't enough. But a res[irator at a Sears dicount/discontinued store and several filters and use it when I painted the house. Know this was Off topic of what your orignial post was but thought using the burrs and the dust created, It wouldn't hurt to mention it here. To me, they go hand in hand.

I have a couple of the Kutzalls burrs or bits and like them. I prefer them over the diamond ones as they do take off more of the wood. The diamond burrs have their purpose but taking off wood, the Kutzalls are the ones.

Hello Roger,
I, too, prefer the kutzall and typhoon burrs for roughing out carvings. I have a really old Foredom that doesn't have a small handpiece, but it has lots of power, so I have these "hogging" tools to use with it. When I get down to finishing, I switch to my RAM and smaller, finer bits--all the way down to white and paper bits to get the finer effect I want.

And I've tried the newer 3M bristle disks -- guess we just keep trying new stuff while looking for better ways to get to where we want.
