Default power carving

Hi Folks, I am new to this woodcarving caper and I need help. I have purchased a Wecheer reciprocating carver, but there are no instructions. Can anyone tell me where I can found out how to use it? I am really keen to get started. : :-/I hope someone can help. Thanks in advance, Merrilyn D in Australia

Try this site and email them I am sure they will send you a copy of the instructions. From what I have seen there is not much to using them they just fit onto a Dremel tool or fact similar and it is just an on off switch. Here is the link for you give them a shout http://www.wecheer.com/e/wel-2.htm

Hi Merrilyn, Welcome! Do you have the reciprocating carver or the flexshaft attachment that Colin mentioned? That's what I have. I was surprised when I received it, figured it would have more information with it than just how to attach it to my dremel.
Either way, just turn the thing on, put it to the wood you want to remove and go to it. Just be careful!! I wear my safety glove always and I have to tell you, there have been more than one slips when the glove has saved me from a nasty cut!
They say for safety they don't start reciprocating until contact with the wood has been made, true, but when you're pushing on that baby, it slips and heads towards your hand it isn't going to distinguish between you and wood!! Of course, the glove isn't going to completely protect you but it sure is going to help!!
Let us know how you're doing, good luck!! Callynne
