Personally, I like to sand. But that's on my scroll sawed work. I find it relaxing, almost fun. I know I'm strange but it works for me.

I just finished my first carving and it may need a few light strokes with the dremel in a few spots. I can't get it as "clean" as I would like it and I don't want to put a hole through the wood by chipping away any more.
