Default Pictures... Finally!!

OK! I did it! I posted pictures of my first Santa carvings. I can see much room for improvement, but I am pleased overall, I suppose! (I guess we're never satisfied with ourselves.)

Comments/critiques are welcome. I can see things I want to improve, but getting it "etched in wood" is a somewhat different matter!

There are some additional pictures in the album.

This one is my first!

This one is my second.

...and my latest, my third...

Very nice Mike, nothing I see to be critical of! Very nice paint jobs. Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the kind words. I see a lot that I don't like about them, but ya gotta start somewhere!

I've started the next project, a stand up Santa from Joclyn's book. Her tutorial is very easy to follow, so it works for me!

Carvin' New Year, everyone!

Great looking Santas! I got Cyndi Joslyn-Carhart Carving Sandtas from Around the Wprld for Christmas with other coving supplies and looking forward to sittin down and reviewing it an maybe incorropate some of her techniques in mine. more on different expression on the Santas.

Yep Old Jim, Ya ain't shabby at carving either. The little Christmas cowboy is being shared between Shaycee and her brother. I have asked for Shaycee's mother to take a picture of each carving. I really liked it . Well I liked them all.
Thanks guys, you are angels to a little girl for sure.
