Default Oops, help

Oops, lighthouse that I was starting to cut out all exploded
but put him on the break and started a new project and is now cutting out a small house and it goes well, some cracks but will finish it I hope.
Could it be that the wood is drying too fast, !!! He stood there long before I took him into the house.

Greetings from Iceland. papa64

What kind of wood are you using, Papa64? Some woods are more prone to cracking, splitting and chipping.

Don't jump ship just yet - try to work the imperfections into to piece.

This happened to me once, but, even though it's very pliable, I will never use C4 as a carving medium ever again.

That really is a good idea, obvious now you have said it. I often suffer from cracking, which can often ruin a really nice piece of work. Its heart breaking to put all the hours in necessary, for something quite delicate, only to find one morning its delevoped a nasty crack!
