He already is showing a great deal of charactor. You did that with just a knife?
Wonderful. His face proportions are so good. You'll have to post more pictures as you work on him. I gather he will have eyes?

Well done, you are on the right track! Practice, practice, practice makes perfect. Don't worry about mistakes, if one eye is crossed, turn him into a pirate and give him a patch! Mistakes is how I learn, and I make plenty.
