So, Dennis, did you take a camera with you? When I first started carving, I took my camera with me to all the shows. There were so many things that I'd never thought of carving and that way, when I got home, I'd have pictures. Never did any of my projects look anything like theirs, but it was inspiration and ideas for free!

And, one thing that I've always enjoyed about carving shows, is that most artists will share anything and everything about their carving process with anyone who will just stop and ask questions. Carvers are that way.

I sent you a pm--pattern are in the mail!

FYI; Dennis; If you take a camera, make sure you ask permission to take a picture of a table if the owner is there. It is the polite thing to do. If you are ever in Italy, it is against the law to take a picture in side a store without permission! Have fun. Big Al

I must admit, I was a novice and it showed, I ask a lot of questions of different people, the answers might not have all been the same, but the willingness to answer was great...they all took time out to show and help me understand...and I was grateful for that....I really had a good time, I went in the morning and told my wife I would be gone a couple of hours, they were kicking me out and closing the door...but I had a lot of fun...I didn't think about the camera until the post here, but next time....Dennis
