Default Newbie Works in progress

Been carving for about a month now. Heres some works in progress.

Goldfish-my design-butternut almost done. I may have to drop the eye area a bit because I don't like the way the wood grain is working there

KnuckleboneTree -my design- basswood still establishing my depth levels

Greenman, basswood, the obligatory Lora Irish tutorial almost done

Please be honest with criticisms, I want to better my carvings and I promise to not have a hissy fit if you're honest

Those are really good. I would of thought you had five years or more of carving experience.

I don't have any critique - I think they all look great. I see what you mean about the goldfish eye, but I'm not sure how to get it any better. The tree is looking great - I really want to see the finished product.

It looks like your graphic arts background has served you well. You're a natural with this wood carving thing.

Wow! No criticism here. I see the area you are talking about in the goldfish eye, but not sure what to do about it or IF I would do anything. I love the water movement. I really want to see your progress on all of them especially your knucklehead tree. Is that for your studio?
