Hi Mryooper: Yes, it is a very nice walking stick. What type of wood? Kathy

Nice Staff. I like the background wood as well. Thumbs Up Used a clear finish ? And stained the diamond? Just wondering Ash |

Mryooper, I really like the face, especially the mustache! But what catches my eye the most is your excellent use of contrasting colors surrounding your woodspirit. Nice job. Susan |

I used only a polyurithine stainer for the whole thing. He background is the bark I could not take all the way out without destroying the diamonds in the stick. I have found diamond willow has like a soft type of bark under the harder barker. Like a insulation layer. That brown is all natural and no painting other then the eyes. If you look at the nose you can see the lite colored swirl in it. I could see a face in the wood the minute I striped it and sealed it. I didn't want to carve in the wood at first, being I am new at this and figured I would destroy the look of the stick. I finally gave in a gave it a shot. Thanks for the nice comments
