Default New spoon!

I just finished this, it is my second spoon I've carved. Any thoughts about the heart, it look kinda flat. What do you think?

Thanks!
I forgot it is made of Ash from a broken long bow that was about 50 years old, so it is very hard. But carves nice, and clean.

My first thought was about 'strength' but ash puts me more at ease. That is quite an intricate design for a spoon. Nice work!

Very nice design! I really like the delicacy. I think the flat heart is fine, but if you don't like it, sometimes when I have a flat element I want to have more dimension, I simply round it off a bit, to the edges, so that the back and front meet at a point around the side - kind of like a pillow, I guess. Just something to try if you want something different. Since you're creating that line where the front and back meet on the side, you can also make that line arc a little, if you like. All sorts of possibilities. Can't wait to see more!
