Lots of get ideas and tips, which will work to varying degrees of success. It's the thing I like most about this board....the wealth of experience of folks willing to share it with you.
Another way is a surgical scalphel with a pointed blade, gets right into those crevases to snip off the odd wild fibers.

Several of micro tools that work well for me, are minicarvers, very small, very sharp carving tools, also diamond files. Other great sanding tools are the fingernail sanding files you can buy at the drugstore. I cut them into any shape and can get down into small areas with them.
