I'm in Hamilton, so Kitchener isn't very far at all. I'm definitely going to look that up! Thanks for the lead.

What amount/variety of tools should i be getting? Also, what about the strop and stone?

Hey shallowjam , there are some good carving clubs in Hamilton . I will send a private message to youwith an name and address of a person to contact. As far as what and how many tools to buy I would ask Dennis and the boys at chipping away when you go to visit them, they are good people (carvers themselves) and they will treat you right
