Hello my name is Samuel Isaac and I live in N.W. Arkansas, Springdale.. I am looking for other carvers in my area.. I found a few clubs an hour from my house but I was hoping there might be one a little closer to my town. Thanks for any help you can give me. God Bless & Happy Carving

Hi Sam! I was in the same boat as you for almost two years...nearest carving club well over 50 miles from me and in the winter up here...that's a little tooo far... Recently, I was surfing the web and came across the local Seniors Center here in town...found that they have a carving group...started attending and found another group just like this one just 12 miles away also in another town...Soooo check out the local Seniors Centers (you don't necessarily have to be a senior to join the carving groups...) and you may solve your problem... These carvers are wonderfully talented and versatile people...they carve everything from relief carvings to sticks, caracatures, in the round, etc...even a 'blind carver' who carves the most amazing things better than most sighted carvers! Love both groups and feel right at home with my fellow carvers...both talented and helpful men and women carvers so be sure and check them out you may be as thrilled with yours as I am with my new groups! Good luck and safe carving to you! Kenn
