Talking My Three Other carvings to date

Hi all thanks for the comments about my owl much appreciated. Anyhow thought id put my other three carvings up for all to see. Theres a hedgehog, a tortoise, and some weird ram skull thing that i thought up. As always any comments would be much appreciated. also im thinking of trying out painting my carvings in the future but im not to sure how to pre treat them and what types of paints to use. If anyone could shed some light on this for me i'd really appreciate it thanks.

my tortoise i used a craft knife to create the patterns on his shell then rubbed wax into them to darken them up.

The rams skull was more of an experiment really. I wanted to try and carve the horns and the teeth in the mouth.

Mykalangeloa...really like your carvings and carving style...sorta remind me of some of the carvings that my youngest son does...lots of detail and nice clean cuts...Soooo keep posting them and we'll keep enjoying them! Safe carving to you!
