Texas Steve,
Thank you for the nice comments. I used to have a larger shop in New Jersey in the basement but when we moved I could not take the basement with me. My son is quick to point out that I turned out larger pieces in the Delaware shop than in NJ.

My DC is a Delta fitted with 5 micron bags from Penn State industries. It collects all the dust from the saw, planer and jointer. I just roll it around and hook it up. I also use it on my carving bench to which I fitted a dust collection hood underneath and a hose to the DC. When that is running I have to keep tools away fomrthe edge of the hole in the table. It has a hardware cloth screen to prevent losing knives and carving bits.

Terry,
My bandsaw is about 30 years old, it is a Taiwanese Delta knockoff. I did some tricking out to get it to run better, Carter guides and a blade detensioner. Timber Wolf blades. It cuts fine now.

If I was to get a new one I would look seriously at Rikon or Jet. Woodcraft sells either except they are not inexpensive.
My sister used a Craftsman for years doing wood working and intarsia and she liked the saw. I think she bought it in the 1980's and cannot comment on current Sears saws. Lynn Doughty uses a Craftsman also like the one my sister had.

If you are buying a bandsaw and intend to keep it a long time and use it a lot (like I did) spend some extra bucks and get a really good brand. I think you will be happy in the long run. My issue right now is I cannot get parts for mine and Delta parts do not fit exactly.

The Timber Wolf blades are a dream for cutting, much better than Olson.
