Default My second woodspirit

Well as I have my flexcut knives now I thought I would have a second attempt at a wood spirit. I found it much easier with the flexcut knives then I did with the utility knife and having some Lime instead of pine made a great difference.

Good job, nice deep cuts, and I see you are carving on the corner of the Square and doing well, but to take it one step farther you need to round off the Forehead and Beard to eliminate the corner of the Block. By doing this your piece will come to life. Your doing good keep it up. Merle

Great job! Thanks for sharing it with us.

It looks like you may have been inspired by Dave Brock. I think I recognize it from his 2 part Youtube video of a wood spirit. If not, you should check out his video, it is very easy to follow and it helps by being able to watch him actually do all the steps as you follow along.

That is not to say that you didn't do good on yours. You are well on your way.
