Default My first try and a big thanks to Gene

I ran up on Gene's latest You Tube tutorial just as I was trying to get up my courage to take a stab at my first project and found this nice easy lesson that he was so kind to share with us.

While I know my skills lack a lot and certainly do not do Gene's lesson justice, I was able to at least complete my first carve. It was a fun little practice project and gets you over the initial hump and fear of that first cut.

Thanks Gene and many other members here who took the time to encourage and help me along the way.

Hey there Bob, yer on your way, don't worry about mistakes, I keep a garbage can nearby and when it gets full, we have a little bon fire, that way, it's a win win situation. You done good on the first one.
