Default My first club meeting

I went to my firts club meeting last night. It was great, I met alot of great people. One gentelmen I met knew me from this board, I would like to talk to him again. It was great fellowship and alot of great carvings for show and tell. I was embarassed to show my first woodspirit, but another gentelmen who does hicking sticks said it looked real good. I cant wait till the next meeting. This club is in Hickory, NC, their is another club in Statesville, NC that several of the member are also members of the statesville club. I think I will go to that one as well.

Hey Forrest of nc , thats probably the best thing for you to do , it is a great way to learn new things and there is nothing better than sitting around with a group of carvers , I dont think there is a better way to pick up some tips . enjoy every minute of it

Forrest - I'm so sorry that I didn't get to spend any time with you personally.....I was there. I was the "busy" one taking people's money! It is a good club with very helpful people.

Good for you Forrest. It must be nice to have 2 clubs that close together. We have one here and have trouble getting carvers to come. You keep going and before you know it you will be teaching someone.

Keep carvin'
