Your first attempts are better than some last ones I've seen. Just remember to put that glove on so it won't become YOUR last one!

Those are some nice carvings, Gilles. Except for you hand, that is. I don't know many wood carvers who haven't had a slip of the knife to remind them to always observe safe carving rules. Keep up the great work on the woodcarving.

Gilles, These look very good. It always helps when someone likes what you do and wants to latch on to it. It is good for the ego and helps encourage you to continue. Thanks for sharing. Safe carving and God Bless, Mark |

Thanks for the comments, I must say that the reason I registered on the forum is because of the amount of inspiration and knowledge that I saw on the forum. I just wish to learn from you all and keep having fun doing it. Indeed, it is very motivating to receive good comments and when someone want to keep something we have done. All I have done so far was follow some guidelines from books or websites. Someday, I hope to be able to find my own style and use my own designs. Gilles, Those are pretty fine first attempts - keep up the good work. You've discovered my secret. Carve something that your wife really enjoys once in a while and she'll support your habit. |

Good job on your first carvings. You did good. Keep carving and where that glove... cause carving is a blood sport! Corey
