Default My first 3-D wolf on burl cap

Hi Everyone,

I came on here in August to ask how I could cut out my wolf if I didn't have a band saw. I got a lot of good suggestions and ended up using my wonderful scroll saw to do it. I want to thank everyone that answered my questions and show you I finished the carving in time to give it to my grandson for Christmas! I have been carving for almost a year...off and on!

Thanks Everyone,

For the wonderful remarks! The wolf is my 3rd piece of carving and one of those was a real bummer! So your remarks willl help keep me doing the carving which I really love! By the way I gave my grandson (26 yrs old) a lovely wrapped box for Christmas. In it he found a sack full of wood chips! I told him I had tried to carve him a wolf but really messed up and that was his wolf. His dad told him it was a puzzle for him to put together to make the wolf!! He was totally confused until I brought him out the real thing! His eyes were so big and he was sooo happy with it! Thought you might like to know about my little joke and the great results.

Great job on the wolf. And a great job fooling your grandson. My credo is keep the grandkids guessing. Just when they think they have you figured out - surprise the heck out of them.
