Here's another few antler carvings I have finished. Please let me know what you think. I am in the process of obtaining a permit to sell these and will find out next week if the craft council thinks they are good enough to try and sell. The whales are carved from caribou antler on a caribou base. Thanks, Leonard

| That is some really good work. I think it is past time to move out of the beginners page for you. Are antlers easy to come by way up north where you are? Down here in Kentucky they are a little scarce. Looks like an interesting way to carve. I would like to give it a try some day if the opportunity presents itself. Keep up the good work Jim |

Beautiful work Leonard! They should go well. You show a natural talent and eye for detail. Best of luck with the council! Bob

Thanks everybody for the positive comments. Yes Jim I have no problem getting antlers here in Newfoundland. I harvested a nice bull myself this fall, 14 points and 400 pounds of excellent meat. Most of my buddies are also moose hunters and most have no use for their antlers when they get a moose. Thanks, Leonard

Heres another couple pictures. The house sign is an antler that was soft in places so not much good for carving. I am thinking about cutting the outline of a bear or moose on both sides of the number.

That is good stuff. And that is a lot of meat as well. They are big critters. Never ate moose. Had deer, bear, elk even buffalo but never moose. Keep up the good work. I like the uniqueness of the carvings. The whales are my favorite though with the bear coming in a close second. Jim |
