They look like a good set of tools to me. I would have taken more than a couple of looks at them if I ran across them also. let us know how they work for you. I myself use Pheil Swiss Made and Henry Taylor gouges for my work.

I have about 10 wooden handled Marples gouges.I had them, from a friend, about 8 years ago and they hold an edge really well. Sheffield steel is renowned for its quality, though i can't vouch for anything made in China if thats where the factory gets their chisels and gouges made now.
if they have the sheffield steel mark, like mine , i think you got a bargain there.
