I have the same one Claude has and like it very much, just know that they do not come sharp. I think Woodcraft will sharpen for $5.00. I also have a small Denny detail and Dockyard, all are good as long as they are sharp.

Thomp from the board makes a fine detail knife as he makes other knives also. The detail is a 1/4 inche from edge to back bone and a little less than an inch long. Give him a shout.
You can reshape any pocket knife blade in to whatever type of blade you want. AIf I can do it anyone can.

I've had the Flexcut Pelican detail knife its OK. But my preference is the Ferguson detail knife.

I have a US Classic Whittler Brown Bone, which is very similar to this knife. I got it, shipped for $7.00. I carved my lil Santa with it right out of the box.

PS. I bought my knife from this guy.

BobT, what Jack Price video specifically are you referring to, please? It sounds interesting!

Thanks again to all!

after buying too many tools because and instructor used a particular one and did great things with it-- i was unable to duplicate the same when i used the tool--i finally realized the problem wasnt the tool-- it was the operator-- i have several knives and use 2 most of the time-- get a good knife and learn how to make it an extension of your hand-- make it do what you want to do.

i just counted-- i have 7 knives-- and 1 gets 80% use, 1 gets 15% and the others account for the difference-- the main one is one i got from gerald sears-- the next one is about 1/4 by 1 1/2 inches-- cant tell u the maker-- i have 2 ron wells, 1 denny and 1 small detail knife i seldom use anymore and a warren with changeable blades-- a great idea-- but i dont like it.
