Default Looking for bear patterns

I'm trying to find some patterns for bears like the ones that Mr Gene Messer has carved on You Tube.

Patterns similar to the style and types of Mr. Messer's projects would be greatly appreciated only if they are on paper and can be scanned and then sent my way.jbmcc@vianet.ca

The patterns can be of bears standing, upright,on all fours etc.

I've tried many many numerous times to view his video's, my problem is the rural server which is extremely finicky at the best of times, downloads take hours for a single video, connection get terminated mid download and if I do get the video after downloading it, it won't play and the connection becomes disconnected at the server.

I've tried to get other servers with no luck as the infustructure isn't in the area for their purposes (the phone lines are of poor weathered conditions and very noisy).

Hope someone can provide some assistance, I thank you in advance for your time.

Brian

Mike Shipley wrote a book called 'Woodcarving the Country Bear and his friends'. it has step by step instructions and patterns. published by Fox Chapel Publishing,.
go to your local library and request it and then you can make copies of the patterns.

Brian.... Your wish is my command. But now you have to remain an active member of the forum so that you can help someone in return! Good luck on your bears!

Brian... I had that same problem with my dial-up NetZero connection, even with their so-called High Speed. However, I assume that by now you've got Gene's bear project in PDF format along with a project sheet with patterns so you should be good to go.

Look on amazon. Search "drawing big game" There are a number of paper back books. This is one on Bear "Bears: The Ultimate Artist's Reference" by ]Doug Lindstrand. You may also want to check out books on leather carving you can find great patterns in those books.
