Ordered the beginners kit and book, and can't wait make the chips fly!! Am currently working on (struggleing with, more like it) the Santa study stick I saw on here with a Flexcut knife that I'm pretty sure isn't sharp enough. By the way, Little Shavers is a complete pleasure to do business with !!!!Bob |

I'm sure that you'll be happy with the package.... Practice sharpening as much as you can - DO NOT risk safety by using a dull knife. Look at their site for sharpening tips. Good luck! |

Congratulations on your purchase Bob, Rick and Thersa are wonderful folks and I have been doing business with them for some time now. I recommended this kit to a beginning carver and she was thrilled and learned a lot using it. Sometimes just a good stropping with a leather piece helps. I made mine using just a 2 1/2 inch x 12" piece of scrap basswood (most any wood will do) then I cut up an old belt to fit and glued it onto the wood. Keep working using the study stick you might not think you are learning but you are! Each one you do you'll see improvement, don't give up! Kathy

New tools are always exciting to get. I picked up the starter palm tool set from Shavers for my daughter and they they worked out fine. Good luck with your carving and be sure to post some pics soon. Patrick |

I have been doing business with Rick and Theresa for more years than I can remember and there is not a better place or nicer people to do business with. I also ordered three starter sets a few years ago for my grandchildren. They had as much fun woodburning the box as they did using the tools. Also I highly recommend Rick if you have any tools that you want sharpened or refurbished. One thing I will guarantee is that they will come back twice as good as when you sent them. Nothing but accelades for Little Shavers they are definatly the best out there. Colin
