Default Just had to try the owl...

So it's been about a year since I sat down with my knife cut on some wood.. silly me. But when I picked up the '09 fall issue and saw the 5 minute owl I couldn't resist.

However I couldn't quite make myself follow the directions.

"stay between the lines. The lines are your friends."

To heck with the directions! Your owl looks great.

You did a great job on the owl. I look at instructions as suggestions. Yours is a very original interpretation.

I'll bet you can't color inside of the lines either. LOL

Great interpretation and interesting totem pole.

If everyone stayed within the lines, everything we carved would look alike. That would be boring. Keep doing what your doing, and don't wait so long to do it.

Looks like you are doing pretty good for being away for awhile. Keep it up.

haha thanks, If you ignore the 12 month lapse in posts I guess the blog is alright. Hopefully they'll be more frequent from now on.
