Default Introduction

My name is Rick Kruse I am new to wood carving. I have taken a intro to woodcarving. I have a small amount of carving tools.
I am looking forward to learning more about carving. My Grandmother was a carver. Started in her 80's. When she passed away last year I inherited all her books and rough outs. I am dedicating myself to carry on her legacy. She was also a chip carver as well.
I look forward to learning from everyone here.

Let the chips fly

Rick

Welcome to the forum, Rick. You couldn't find a friendlier or more helpful group of people than here. The carvers here are always willing to provide support and suggestions, and seeing their work gives me inspiration. Like the others said: don't be afraid to ask questions. I look forward to seeing your work.
