Welcome aboard Dave. That's a great looking stump carving. I would imagine it gets a few double takes as folks drive by!? Nice to have you with us, you'll find there is a great bunch of folks here. Very willing to answer questions, share their time, experience and lives with each other.

Bob

Hi Dave -- First thing I did was grab a map to see where Elwood is. I was hoping it was closer to the eastern edge of NE. I have more great hand tools than I can use and I'd love to work out a trade of little tools for a big carving That's a mighty fine carving !!!!!!!!! Can't wait to see more.

Dave that "Stump Carving" is in a class of it's own. Great job. That tree never looked so good. Now you have to look into preserving it for as long as possible.

Welcome aboard Dave! You have come to the right place for showing your work and asking questions. Go to www.LittleShavers.com and you will find Ricks site. I know he is around because he just sent me some knives he sharpened for me and another order. I look forward to seeing more of your work.
Ron

Dave,
Just a thought, that would have made a fine "Grim Reaper" with the sickle behind him; but the neighbors might not appreciate it.

He could have been holding a list instead of a hanging pot.

Your neighbors have no idea how lucky they are that I live in Seattle.
