The Woodcarvers Ezine Mag. Reviews books.How to go about making faces should be a good start.I would like the catalog too.

Rick,

My two cents worth would be to have a section on 'Painting'. Yes it a broad subject, but all us carvers need to know 'how to paint' our carvings once we have them carved.

Thanks for thinking of us and for asking for our thoughts.

Rick I would also agree on the painting article. I probably know how to paint a picture as I used to be a wild life artist. The thing I would like to know is how the carving is prepared and how to stop the paints from running or bleeding into the other paints. How you thin your paints down, how many coats etc. etc.. etc. BTW I still havent painted that Santa it is still in the corner of my studio.
