Jude,

Here is how I go about making the feather quill.

First I draw in the feather.

Then I take the wood burner and, with the side of the tip, I
burn in the quill.

Hope this helps,
David

Careful Silver you gonna tell how old you really are

Every time I see where it is that cold, makes me glad that I live on the Gulf Coast of Texas where the temps are around 65 to 70 and we consider a cold day 45*
Now the summers here aere hot hot hot

You know Dave it is at times like this I envy you guys the temperatue here last night was -40. But I have been to Arizona and places that are hot and sometimes it is just too hot. I find I like the four seasons and I can find lots to do in the winter. I always say it just part of being Canadian.

Yes it gets pretty warm in the summer, but that is ok too, as for the 4 seasons, believe it or not we have that as well, spring and fall are fantastic, summer is hot, and winter is very mild...all in all its the best, have had enough of the other, seems time is so constricted, waiting for good weather to do this or that, or busting your #$$& trying to get something finished before bad weather sets in....nope, the little heat in the summer is worth it...also we are at 3300 feet elevation so that relieves us of some of the bad summer temps...now that you have had a geography and weather lesson on Arizona LOL 8)

I am not even going to say it
except to say that the right companion on a cold winter night could present some interesting possibilities
