Default Hello Newbie Here....

Hello all. I am totally new here to carving. I have always wnated to do it and I recently got a new Razortip woodburner for Christmas. I like to make boxes and I think the burning and carving will add to my box making. I really admire song bird carvers and what they do. I have always wanted to do that.

My buddy Bob Noles is a newbie and here as well and as I have led him down many paths in woodworking such as wood burning and box making.. he is leading me down this one I think I will do the same and order the Little Shavers kit here in a couple of weeks.

Anyway, just wanted to say hi and just in awe by what I see!

Corey

Corey, welcome aboard, I'm sure you'll find your stay here rewarding and informative. If you end up carving the way you build boxes and turn pens, you'll be an expert in no time at all. Good luck.
Cliff

Well Corey, it's about time you found your way in here. With your artistic talents, you need to give this a try as I think you are a natural for this one. Do get the kit from Little Shavers as I think it was a good value and was highly recommended here. I really like mine so far and a good way to get started and still have money left to pay the mortgage. Very unlike some of those roads you led me down that left my wallet screaming in pain Hammer

Hey buddy, I do look forward to learning this one together as we have so many others in the past.

Hello and welcome to the board, you'll not find a better source of insperation, information and instruction anywhere on the web, trust me i've looked.
I'm sure you love the carving kit from little shavers, alot of us started the same way.

Good luck in your new venture and most of all....have fun at it!

Hi Corey,

I just wanted to say welcome and look forward to seeing what you do with this art form and to see how you incorporate it as part of your woodworking. And as always just have fun with it and the rest will fall into place on its own.

Blessings,
Tina
